34th Annual Meeting & Conference
Conference Purpose:
The conference is designed to bring to the forefront the latest in evidence-based recommendations and tie these recommendations to practice, education, management and policy. Strides have been made in the science arenas underlying clinical, management, and educational practices and application to policy initiatives. The dissemination of this evidence and its integration into practice and support for policy initiatives have lagged behind the evidence itself. The conference will highlight current and innovative initiatives to changer policy and practice with solid evidence from research and raise discussion about the barriers and benefits to the utilization of evidence in these four arenas.
Conference Objectives:
- Identify key actions for moving evidence into policy and clinical practice to improve health care
- Develop strategies for introducing evidence-based practices into practice and education
- Broaden the arenas for consideration in the use of evidence to guide practice
- Describe how evidence can be used to enhance quality in healthcare outcomes
- Discuss the key role of evidence-based management in improving healthcare systems.
